CIRIA takes bridge defects message on the road

 

The Construction Industry Research & Information Association (CIRIA) is planning a series of events to promote its new guide to detecting defects in bridges.

A regional roadshow to promote the findings and recommendations kicks off on 1st June 2017 in Bristol’s Museum M-Shed, hosted by consulting engineer Ramboll. Professionals involved in bridge engineering, inspection and management are invited to attend.

Arup is hosting a similar event in the Midlands on 4th July. Further events are planned in London and Scotland in the autumn.

The events are being held to provide an overview of the good practice guide, and how it can be used to mitigate the risk of hidden defects which lead to bridge failure...
