A Close Up Look at M&CCE Expo Speaker Mark Richardson
Mark Richardson has worked in the site investigation industry for over 18 years, both in the land and marine environment. He has a wealth of experience in offshore drilling, geotechnical engineering and project management.
Mark graduated from Plymouth University with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology/Earth Science. He became a geotechnical engineer in the late 1990’s and progressed into Project Management working on major UK and international projects.
Mark has also boasted other job titles, from 2009 to early 2017 Mark was the Commercial & Tendering Manager for Fugro Geoservices where he was the main point of contact for nearshore jackup marine geotechnical investigations worldwide and managed a team of tendering engineers and project managers.
He has considerable commercial tendering experience and has worked within Fugro’s European Major Project Tender Team for the last 6 years. In 2017 Mark was appointed Business Development Manager for Fugro UK, Land Division.
Mark will present a talk at the Marine & Coastal Civil Engineering Expo on the "Nearshore Marine Site Characterisation Projects to Reduce Project Construction Risk".
He will talk through client challenges and how effective site investigations can de-risk the preconstruction phase of a project through integrated geophysical and geotechnical solutions.
